2008 Bantam B - Gold @ Kelowna Tournament

Congratulations to the Bantam B Hawks winning GOLD at a recent tournament in Kelowna. It was a tough tournament; the boys got batter up pretty good. We play against a West Kooteney team that was a football team that decided to play lacrosse. None of these boys had played lacrosse before, and all they were told was get the ball and hit whoever and whatever they could to get the ball back if they lost possession!! Needless to say, it was quite a game!!! Some of these boys had to travel up to an hour just to get to the practice arena, and they only practiced one day maybe two days a week. And the only games they played were those in tournaments. Good on West Kooteney for creating a team, supposedly they have not had a team in their area in 16 years.
